【NEJM original】二重盲検ランダム化比較試験にて9340名の糖尿病に対して、リラグルチド(GLP-1)阻害剤群(608名）とプラセボ群（694名）を比較すると、心血管イベントによる死亡（HR 0.78）、全死亡（HR 0.85）が減少した。非致死的心筋梗塞、非致死的脳梗塞、心不全による入院は有意差なし。消化器副作用による休薬は認めた。
